WEEK TWO
During the second week of the seminar, we will work directly with DH tools to develop new skills and consider a range of methodological choices for examining the Holocaust. We will focus specifically on DIGITAL STORYTELLING, MAPPING, and TEXT ANALYSIS. To do so, we will learn to use:
- Voyant
- Omeka
- StoryMaps (You will need to create a PUBLIC ACCOUNT)
Each of these tools can be used in the classroom to encourage students to grapple with questions of curation, space, and text in relation to the Holocaust. In addition to learning to use each tool, we will work together to draft assignments and activities that can be transferred directly to the classroom.
Readings for each day can be found by clicking on that day’s page. You can also find all readings for the seminar on the Seminar Readings page.
