WEEK ONE
During the first week of the seminar, we will explore the field of Digital Humanities and how the methods and concepts of the digital can shape our study of the Holocaust. In particular, we will consider how space, scale, textuality, and materiality can be explored and represented with digital tools and how these approaches can challenge our previous understanding of this History. We will also address questions of media – including social media – and confront the challenges of studying the Holocaust in the digital age.
Readings for each day can be found by clicking on that day’s page. You can also find all readings for the seminar on the Seminar Readings page.
